Three patterns

Free plans shrink rather than disappear. No tool in the log removed its free tier. MailerLite cut it twice in nine months, from 1,000 to 500 and then to 250 subscribers. Mailchimp halved free contacts to 250 and took email support out of the free plan. Asana capped free teams at 2 users, down from 10. The free plan still exists for the sign-up page; it just stops working at the point where a business would use it.

A restructure is an increase without a press release. Semrush retired Pro, Guru and Business for SEO ($139), Starter ($199), Pro+ ($299) and Advanced ($549). The headline price fell by 95 cents; the tier most teams need, the first with historical data, moved from $249.95 to $199, and the tier above it costs 20% more than the old Guru. Salesforce replaced Enterprise ($175) and Unlimited ($350) with Core ($195), Advanced ($395) and Max ($550), an 11 to 13% rise at the comparable seat. SE Ranking, Omnisend, Pipedrive, Keap and Klaviyo all changed what a plan is called or how it is metered. None of these appear as a price increase on any changelog.

Annual discounts are the quiet lever. Vendasta removed its up-to-25% annual discount. Leadpages trimmed its annual discount to 20% while dropping the $10 entry tier. Moz stopped showing an annual rate for Starter at all, which turns a $39 plan into a $49 plan for anyone who wanted it. Omnisend removed annual billing from the restructured Pro plan. On the ten tools that still publish both rates, paying monthly costs 45% more than paying annually.

Method and limits

The log has been kept since February 2025. Each entry records the date a change appeared on the vendor’s pricing page, what changed, and the page on this site where the full numbers live. On October 11, 2026 every price on this site was re-read from the vendor pricing pages of 37 tools, from a US location in US dollars, and each review page now shows a dated capture of the page it was read from.

An increase is counted only where the same plan, or the cheapest comparable plan, has a price before and after. Lineup restructures are listed separately and are not counted as increases, even where the comparable tier costs more, because the vendor changed what the tier contains. The one decrease, Systeme.io’s Startup plan from $27 to $17, is the price shown on the public page in October 2026 and may be promotional. Where a vendor publishes both monthly and annual rates, the annual-billed rate is used for comparisons. Prices in other currencies and regional discounts are out of scope.

What this data cannot say: how many customers were affected, or what the vendors charged under negotiated contracts. It records list prices only.
