Vendasta review
Vendasta’s headline “$0 subscription” is really a $99-to-$999 monthly spend commitment, and whether that money buys product or simply evaporates depends on what you resell.
Ratings from G2 (529 reviews), Capterra (163) and Trustpilot (101), pricing verified August 2026.
The verdict
Vendasta is a white-label platform for agencies, media companies, and anyone else who resells digital services to small businesses. You get a client-facing portal under your own brand, a CRM, prospecting reports, and a wholesale marketplace of resellable products, and Vendasta claims an ecosystem of 66,000+ partners worldwide. It is one of the more capable agency platforms we have tested. It is also one of the hardest to price honestly, because Vendasta does not sell software licenses in the normal sense. It sells minimum monthly spend commitments of $99, $499, or $999, and calls the subscription itself “$0.”
Here is how that works. Qualifying spend on Vendasta-owned products, the things you buy wholesale and resell to clients, such as Conversations AI, Reputation AI, Social Marketing, and Local SEO, offsets your platform fee dollar-for-dollar. An agency that pushes $999 of qualifying wholesale product through the platform each month pays nothing for the platform itself. An agency that resells mostly third-party marketplace apps, or that uses Vendasta primarily as a CRM and portal, pays the full $99, $499, or $999 on top of its wholesale costs, every month, whether it used the platform heavily or not. Unused minimum does not roll over. The two cost stories could not be more different, and Vendasta’s marketing leans hard on the first one.
The model also got worse for buyers between mid-2025 and 2026. In June 2025, Vendasta sold flat subscriptions with up to 25% off for annual billing: Starter at $79 per month ($948 per year), Professional at $399 per month billed annually ($4,788), Premium at $799 per month billed annually ($9,588). The current pricing page shows monthly-billed minimum-spend tiers with no annual discount at all, and the entry tier moved from $79 to $99. For anyone who would have taken the annual deal, that is a meaningful price increase dressed up as a pricing simplification. The review data tells a split story too: 4.5/5 on G2 and 4.4/5 on Capterra, but a 3.4 TrustScore on Trustpilot across 101 reviews.
We score Vendasta 7.4. The capability is real, unlimited client accounts on every tier is genuinely rare, and the trial terms are among the friendliest in the category. But one-year contracts on the two tiers most agencies actually need, a seat definition that bills you when someone merely views a page, and offset fine print that quietly excludes third-party products keep it well below GoHighLevel, its closest competitor, which holds an 8.1 on flat, contract-free pricing.
What Vendasta really costs at scale
The entry point is friendlier than the fine print. There is a free 14-day trial with no credit card required, and the $99 Starter tier is month-to-month with no contract. From there it gets stiffer: Professional and Premium are billed monthly but require a one-year contract, and at signing you pay the full platform fee for month one, $499 or $999, before any product spend has had a chance to offset it. There is no annual-discount price for any standard plan on the current page.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per mo) | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99 minimum spend | n/a — month-to-month only | 1 seat (extras $30/seat/mo), 10 Snapshot Reports/mo, 250 Conversation Intelligence minutes, co-branding only, unlimited client accounts |
| Professional | $499 minimum spend | n/a — monthly billing on a 1-year contract | 5 seats (extras $35/seat/mo), 25 Snapshot Reports/mo, 500 CI minutes, white-label client portal, Yesware Pro, better wholesale pricing |
| Premium | $999 minimum spend | n/a — monthly billing on a 1-year contract | 10 seats (extras $65/seat/mo), 50 Snapshot Reports/mo, 1,000 CI minutes, multi-location client portal, Yesware Premium, priority-tier features |
| Custom Enterprise | Custom volume pricing | Monthly or annual, 1-year contract | Custom pricing on products and seats, priority support, invoiced billing after a credit check, built for 20+ SMB clients |
Our standard scale scenario is a ten-seat agency. Premium includes exactly ten seats, so the clean answer is $999 per month in committed spend, or $11,988 per year, offset by whatever qualifying Vendasta product you resell. The cheaper route on paper is Professional at $499 plus five extra active seats at $35 each, which comes to $674 per month, roughly $8,088 per year. But that path locks you into a one-year contract with only 25 Snapshot Reports and 500 Conversation Intelligence minutes a month, and if your team actually prospects with Snapshot Reports, the $2-per-report overage starts working against the saving. You can run your own numbers through our real cost calculator.
Two smaller line items belong in any honest total. If your clients pay you through the platform, the Stripe-powered processing takes 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction on every tier, which is standard but adds up on retainer billing. And if your team leans on Snapshot Reports or Conversation Intelligence beyond the caps, the overages are metered: $2 per extra report, and the recorded-meeting minutes simply stop at 250, 500, or 1,000 depending on tier. None of these are scandalous. They are just absent from the number most people quote when they say Vendasta starts at $99.
The structural point worth crediting: client accounts and client-portal users are unlimited on every tier. Vendasta’s costs scale with your team seats, your minimum spend, and per-location product fees, not with contacts or client count. That is the opposite of most marketing platforms we review, where the contact list is the meter that never stops running. For a growing agency, it is the right meter to be free of. Vendasta itself pitches Professional at agencies with roughly three or more SMB clients and Premium at six or more, which is about where the minimum spend stops feeling like a fee and starts feeling like inventory you were going to buy anyway.
The hidden costs
Vendasta’s pricing page rewards close reading. These are the clauses that change the math.
- The “$0 subscription” is a spend floor, not free software. You commit to $99, $499, or $999 every 30-day cycle. Qualifying Vendasta-owned product spend offsets the fee dollar-for-dollar, but if your resale volume dips one month, you pay the difference, and unused minimum does not roll over. You will pay at least the minimum every single month, in product or in fee.
- Not all spend qualifies. Third-party Marketplace products, MatchCraft managed services, and legacy Vendasta products do not count toward the monthly minimum. An agency that built its stack around third-party apps in Vendasta’s own marketplace pays the full platform fee on top of wholesale costs. The offset only works if you sell what Vendasta makes.
- Contracts and signing fees on the real tiers. Only Starter is contract-free. Professional and Premium require a one-year contract, and the full $499 or $999 platform fee is due at signing to cover month one. Even Starter has a procedural catch: cancellations must be submitted via a form at least 48 hours before renewal, or you are billed for another cycle.
- The “active seat” definition is generous to Vendasta. Extra seats cost $30, $35, or $65 per seat per month depending on tier, and a seat counts as active if that person so much as views a page in Vendasta within a 90-day window. A contractor who logged in once in July to check a report is a billable seat. Audit your user list before every renewal.
- Snapshot Reports expire. Allowances are 10, 25, and 50 per month by tier, extras are $2 each, and unused reports vanish at the end of the month. There is no banking a quiet month against a busy one.
- The annual discount is gone. The June 2025 pricing page offered up to 25% off annual billing; the current page offers no annual price for any standard plan. On the old structure, Premium was $9,588 per year billed annually. The equivalent commitment today is $11,988. The old page also listed onboarding tiers with training at $250 per session; the current page claims no platform onboarding fees, though optional AI “Setup as a Service” packages remain a separate one-time cost.
Features that matter
The wholesale marketplace is the reason Vendasta exists. You buy resellable products and services at up to 65% below retail, with no RFPs and no volume commitments, mark them up, and sell them under your own brand. Because qualifying Vendasta-owned product spend offsets your platform fee, the marketplace is also the mechanism that can take your effective software cost to zero. The margin structure is the product; the platform is the wrapper.
The white-label client portal, Business App, is available from Professional up. Your logo, your domain, integrated Stripe-powered payments at 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction, invoicing, and a client CRM, all presented as your software. Starter buyers should note they get co-branding only, not full white-label; if presenting the platform as your own product is the point, the real entry price is $499, not $99.
Snapshot Reports are Vendasta’s prospecting engine: automated audits of a prospect’s online presence you can generate before a sales call. They are effective enough that the monthly caps matter. Ten per month on Starter is a constraint for any team doing real outbound; the $2 overage is cheap per unit but is a genuine variable cost at volume.
The AI toolset is included in the plan minimums rather than sold as a bolt-on. Conversation Intelligence transcribes and summarizes recorded meetings, capped at 250, 500, and 1,000 minutes per month by tier, and an AI Sales Assistant works your pipeline. The resellable AI products, Conversations AI and Reputation AI, are billed per client location and count toward your minimum spend, which makes them the most efficient things to sell on the platform. The 4.5/5 G2 rating suggests the platform holds up in daily use.
Unlimited client accounts deserves its own mention because of what it removes: the per-sub-account or per-contact anxiety that shapes how agencies use most platforms. You can onboard a hundred small clients into the portal without the software bill moving. Costs move when you add team seats or sell per-location products, both of which at least correlate with revenue.
Who should choose Vendasta
Vendasta makes the most sense for agencies that will actually resell Vendasta-owned products. If Local SEO, Reputation AI, Social Marketing, and Conversations AI are things your SMB clients will buy, the minimum spend converts into wholesale inventory you were going to purchase anyway, and the platform genuinely approaches $0 in net cost. Vendasta’s own targeting, roughly three or more SMB clients for Professional and six or more for Premium, is a fair guide. Multi-location and franchise-focused agencies get specific value from Premium’s multi-location client portal. And for anyone merely curious, the on-ramp is low-risk by any standard: a 14-day trial with no credit card, then a $99 month-to-month tier with no contract. Use that window deliberately: run real Snapshot Reports against real prospects, price out the products your clients would actually buy, and check whether your intended stack counts toward the minimum before you sign anything with a one-year term attached.
Who should look elsewhere
If you deliver fulfillment yourself and just want the software, the minimum-spend model works against you. An agency that writes its own content, runs its own ads, and needs a white-label CRM and portal will pay Vendasta’s full platform fee with nothing offsetting it. GoHighLevel (Lab Score 8.1) sells that agency a flat subscription with no resale requirement and no one-year contract, which is why it remains our benchmark in this category. Solo operators and lean funnel builders are simply not the customer here; something like Systeme.io (9.0) covers that use case at a fraction of the commitment. And if what you really need is a CRM with marketing attached rather than a reseller platform, Zoho CRM is the more honest fit. Our full rankings are on the best all-in-one marketing platform page.
FAQ
Is Vendasta really free if I hit the minimum spend?
The subscription line item can be $0, but you are still committing to spend $99, $499, or $999 per month. Only qualifying Vendasta-owned products count toward the offset; third-party Marketplace products, MatchCraft managed services, and legacy Vendasta products do not. Unused minimum does not roll over, so a slow month means paying the shortfall as a fee.
What does Vendasta cost per month at minimum?
$99 per month on Starter, which is month-to-month with no contract. Professional is $499 and Premium is $999, both billed monthly on a one-year contract, with the full platform fee due at signing for month one. Extra active seats add $30, $35, or $65 per seat per month by tier. There is a free 14-day trial with no credit card required.
Does Vendasta offer an annual discount?
Not anymore. As of June 2025 Vendasta sold flat subscriptions with up to 25% off annual billing, including Premium at $799 per month billed annually. The current pricing page shows monthly-billed minimum-spend tiers with no annual price for any standard plan, which raised the effective yearly cost of every tier for annual buyers.
Are client accounts limited on Vendasta?
No. Client accounts and client-portal users are unlimited on every tier, including the $99 Starter plan. Your costs scale with team seats, the monthly minimum spend, and per-location product fees, not with how many clients or contacts you manage, which is unusual and genuinely favorable at scale.
