Plain English: some links on RealCostLabs are affiliate links, and that never changes what we tell you.

RealCostLabs participates in affiliate programs run by the software companies we review and by affiliate networks. If you click a link to a tool and then sign up or buy, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are usually formatted as realcostlabs.com/go/….

Commissions fund our independent testing. They do not influence:

• our Lab Scores or rankings,
• which tools we include or exclude,
• the prices we publish — we show the real price whether or not we earn anything.

Where a tool we rate highly has no affiliate program, we still recommend it and link to it normally. Where a tool pays well but scores poorly, it still ranks poorly. If that ever stops being true, this site has failed at its only job.
